5 Ways of Making Money from Home.
12:50:00 AMThere comes a time in the life of every teenager when asking for money from the parents seems too awkward. You want to pay on your own, for a change. Whether you've shopped online; and want to pay the delivery guy by yourself, or you want to buy something better by saving up — you want to use your own money.
The question that comes to your mind when you've chosen this course of thinking is: How can a teenager like yourself make money?
Here are five ways you can make money from home. No sweat.
1. Content Writing.
A popular way of earning online, and from home, is content writing. There are many platforms you can join and start earning right away. There are employers out there who hire experienced content writers, however. If you're lacking in the mandatory experience, you can opt for platforms like Freelancer, where even newbies and can hope to make a name for themselves. Payments on such platforms are made through electronic transactions. You get to train yourself with engaging exercises to get better at the art, and increase your chances of being accepted by the people out on the look. You have to keep your profile impressive to improve your odds.
If there's a writer in you wanting to burst out, and you're good with deadlines, then content writing is for you.
2. Blogging.
If you feel like you can't cope with last-days-of-submissions and overpowering and bossy employers, but are still a writer, try blogging. Although earning from a blog takes a lot of time. You first need to get a blog up and running, then make sure it fulfills all the necessary requirements of payment platforms like AdSense — which isn't easy, mind you. After you've been accepted, which might take up to a year; even more depending on your case, you can start hoping for money to fall in droplets. You need to do a lot of research for blog traffic and everything, keeping your audience loyal and happy. Then, and only then can you expect to make money out of a blog.
Many people blog for a living, many just for the thrill it provides. Whatever you choose, blogging will be an amazing experience. Give it a try.
3. Website Designing.
You first need to learn a little if you want to earn from designing websites. It isn't difficult. You can sign up at Codeacademy to learn how to make websites. Refer with professionals. When you've learned enough, you can start practicing. There are platforms similar to Freelancer out there for website designers. Make an account for yourself and follow the rules. Ask for help from the communities, and start securing possible clients.
This will require a little time to be invested in learning. However, once you've mastered the techniques, you can make it like a bandit in this UI/UX designing world.
4. Designing Phone Covers and Mugs.
This is taking earning-on-your-own to the next level. Some people are customization-obsessed. If you're into art, and also have knowledge of computer arts — softwares like Photoshop, Adobe's Illustrator, online software like Canva, et cetera, you should give designing phone covers and mugs a shot. Learn first how printing works on different types of mugs and covers. You can surf the web to learn this or even refer to prevailing businesses. People want quotes on their mugs, Eifel towers on the back of their phones, and much more.
You can make money and impress people. Hmm.
5. Data Entry Jobs.
Another way of earning. If you want to work from home, then choose employers offering you the luxury of working from home. Many data entry jobs require your presence at the organization you're typing for. Some don't. Go for those. There are spams, too, when at-home data entry is concerned. Many people will trick you into paying your way into a job, then fool you and run away with your "registration" money. I'd advise you to first conducting a research and finding out a legit job for this one.
In the end, some ways are easy, some are not, when it comes to earning from home. Choose whatever way suits you the best and doesn't bring drastic changes on your daily routine and studies. We all want to be independent, but that doesn't mean we let our routine and our academic life fall to pieces.
There is always the do-chores-around-the-house gig if all else fails.
