6 Horror Movie Clichés.

4:19:00 PM

We all root for horror movies; watching all the blood and the murder, and those supernatural just makes our hearts sing. But, when you've watched too many horror movies, you start seeing too many clichés, and this is followed by immediate disillusionment. If a movie, however, manages to enchant — or, as the case is here, spook — you, then you love it no matter how many clichés it has.

Here are 5 of the most known horror movie clichés.

1. Creaking of Doors.

We all know this one. I bet you just replayed the sound, from the last horror movie you watched, of a creaking door. I wonder how it's done. An invisible thread? Or maybe artificial wind? Or maybe these doors are remotely controlled?

Or maybe some supernatural entity is trying to creep us out!

2. Flickering Lights.

This happens whenever the supernatural want their presence to be known. We don't speak ghost, do we? And they know it. Hence, the flickering of lights.

If this flickering happens at your place, check first if your siblings are behind it. If not, then, well...

3. Haunted houses.

A family moves to a brand new house, then the mayhem begins. Too cliché!

Is your house haunted?

4. Make-Up Clad Supernatural.

They should launch a fashion magazine dedicated solely to the craft of supernatural make-up. Seriously. Not even girls are that creative.

5. Dead Lover's Revenge.

In this case, the supernatural is either avenging their own death, or wants to kill their alive ex because they are dating someone else and not mourning.

Love is blind even in the afterlife, it seems.

6. Werewolves and Were-Whatevers.

We are all tired, aren't we? Of vampires and werewolves and zombies and God knows what else we'll get to see in the future.

Get real, movie makers!

There are even more, you guys.
