Our politicians and higher ups seem to be good at nothing else but the art of bringing shame upon themselves and their people. The uproarious protests that the CII must have been anticipating, weren't witnessed at all. The public has successfully learned how to deal with people and organizations of such limited mentality.

The light beating of misbehaving, errant wives was one of the propositions mentioned in the suggestions.

We're not living in ancient times, we've evolved and so has the world. Our religious revivalists can't seem to reconcile with the fact that their efforts will bear no fruit. They can't bound the women of today into blindingly following the rules and regulations they conjure up when in the mood. They can't implement their conservative ideals on a country that is in need of modernistic, inclusive values.

These revivalists have brought shame upon themselves, our legislative system; for appointing such extremists to offer them guidance, and upon us; for being ignorant to such organizations run by them.

It is because of such revivalist organizations that our country is incapable of making needed progress. Their opinions boldly contradict those of the Holy Prophet and Islam.
