Concluding Tenure.
3:42:00 PMAs General Raheel Sharif's tenure is closing in on its end, there is much speculation as to who will be his successor. Unlike most before him, the general has declared his disenchantment towards an extension; a privilege with which one can hold the mantle of COAS for longer than decreed. He has revealed that he doesn't believe in extension and will retire on due date. This adds to this general's many revered qualities. He received international appreciation and has done far much more good than his predecessors. Not all responsible entities are power-hungry.
The next in line are Lieutenant Generals Maqsood Ahmed, Zubair Mehmodd Hayat, Syed Wajid Hussain, and Ishfaq Nadeem. It'll be in our PM's hands to elect the new COAS.
Power is amazing.
Will they be able to further the legacy that General Raheel will leave behind?
We owe Zarb-e-Azb to Mr. Sharif—and I don't mean the PM. His tenacious efforts bore fruit and most of the terrorists hidden in our country have been condemned to hellfire. This operation is yet to conclude, but its end will undoubtedly mark the complete oblivion of the Taliban regime, at least from Pakistan.
Among the general's many accomplishments, The Hilal-e-Imtiaz and The Nishan-e-Imitiaz being one of his most noteworthy, his foreign awards of the Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Legion of Merit, and the Order of Military Merit are what make our hearts burst with pride.
With Rajput blood running in his veins, our general has achieved so much that will never be forgotten.
His tenure is to terminate in the month of November this year.
The future COAS will have a long way to go to catch up with his predecessor's glory and to make more of his own name.
Our military is all we have. The pride the nation has for its military can't be calculated.
Long live the Pakistan Army!
